Flooded heart gradually receded
These obnoxious lights and
their statements are rancid
You are a voracious reader
reading, writing,
re-reading, re-writing
You write to read
You sing to listen
You create to destroy
"my fervor for
rehashing the past"
to placate the anxiety
of the present
Future is tantalizing
with the possibility of love
but love is futile
So you reserve yourself
watching life is frittered
away from you
Then suddenly it all comes
to you inundating and
you cannot defy the current
It devours you, it ruptures your
existential crisis
But you, the survivor,
becomes effervescent
Bubbling onward upward
to the surface
When you break the water,
you will see the light falling
down on your head like
the blessing from the god
