Old Diary

Old Diary

When I was young
I dreamed of being a star
like some punk rock stars
and some punk rock losers
and some punk rock anarchists

Everyone I met was a hypocrite
I thought I was a better man
I was smarter than a grown man

An only friend of mine was radio
I always painted
something on the paper
And I sang with my stereo

I thought I was a rational saint
But I knew something
I was in the sinking rusted moon

As you know
No one is always right or wrong
But I was idle

Spreading rumors
and scratching faces
I was always right
I thought I was always victimized

I saw the pictures everyday
No shame
No confession
No reason
I spoiled the pictures
and spilled rotten wine

I dug a hole in the bedroom floor
I thought I was wrong
But nobody's knocking
on my broken door

All the songs on the radio
were the same old stories
and the same old changes
I locked myself in my sound
My mom and dad cried aloud

I saw the pictures everyday
No shame
No confession
No reason
I spoiled the pictures
and spilled rotten wine
