두번째달의 두 번째 국악 프로젝트 [팔도유람]
 
2016년 소리꾼 김준수, 고영열과 함께 “판소리 춘향가”, 2018년 경기민요 소리꾼 송소희와의 협업 작품 “모던민요”를 발표하며 국악과의 콜라보 프로젝트를 진행하고 있는 밴드 두번째달은 그동안 음반으로 발표되지 않았던 다양한 국악인들과의 콜라보레이션 작품들을 모아 새로운 음반 “팔도유람”을 발표한다.

“팔도유람”은 세명의 국악인과 함께 다양한 모습의 국악을 두번째달의 독특한 색깔로 풀어내어 보다 쉽게 다양한 국악을 접할 수 있게 하는 음반이다.
남도 소리꾼 김준수는 “육자배기”, “흥타령”, “사철가” 등을 부르며 남도 소리의 선 굵은 애절함으로 두번째달이 새로이 해석한 남도 소리를 보여준다.
정가 보컬리스트 하윤주는 편수대엽 “모란은”, 여창가곡 “월정명” 등의 정가를 선보인다. 정가는, 판소리, 민요 등의 민초들이 즐겼던 민속음악과 구분하여 정악이라 불리는 양반들의 음악 중 하나로 어려운 박자와 긴 호흡으로 다른 음악과의 협업이 까다로운 편이다. 두번째달이 새로이 해석한 정가는 기존 정가의 가사와 박자, 호흡 등을 최대한 살리면서도 어렵지 않게 정가를 접할 수 있도록 음악적 이야기를 입혔다.
경기 소리꾼 채수현은 “비나리”, “몽금포 타령” 등의 경기소리로 부르는 다양한 지역의 민요들을 시원시원한 소리로 들려준다. “모던민요”를 통해 미처 다 보여주지 못한 경기소리들을 담았다. 
이외에도 평창올림픽 폐회식에서 선보였던 “쾌지나칭칭나네”와 3.1절 대한민국 임시정부 100주년 기념 음악회를 통해 처음 선보였던 다양한 지역의 아리랑을 엮은 “백년의 아리랑”을 세명의 소리꾼들과 함께 불러 녹음하였다.

“판소리 춘향가”로 시작한 연주 음악 밴드 두번째달의 국악으로의 여행은 “팔도유람”으로 계속되고 있다. 앞으로 다양한 무대를 통해 만나게 될 두번째달과 소리꾼들은 관객들과 함께 우리의 소리를 크게 노래하며 팔도 곳곳을 누비게 될 것이다.

'Paldoyuram'(Cruising through Korea) - The Second Korean Traditional Music Project by 2nd Moon

'Paldoyuram' is 2nd Moon's new album with three Korean traditional music singers presenting a variety of Korean traditional music colored with 2nd Moon's uniqueness. The album interprets the Korean traditional music in a contemporary sense and makes it more comfortable for the public.
Namdosori singer Kim Jun-soo sings ‘Yukjabaegi’, ‘Heung taryeong’, and ‘Sacheolga’ in his powerful but heartrending voice along with 2nd Moon's new interpretation of Namdo sori (Korea traditional songs from southern regions of Korea).
Jeongga Vocalist Ha Yun-ju presents classic Korean songs 'Moraneun' and female solo ‘Woljeongmyeong’.
Jeongga is one of the music enjoyed by the noblemen differs from folk music such as pansori and other folk songs. It has complicated beats and needs delicate breathing techniques to sing, which makes it challenging to collaborate with different genres of music.
2nd Moon presents the new interpretation of Jeongga by adding musical stories to the original songs while making the best of the lyrics, rhythm, and delicate breathing techniques. By doing so, the new version of Jeongga became more comfortable for the ears of the public.
Gyeonggisori singer Chae Soo-hyun sings the various folk songs from different regions including 'Binari' and ‘Monggeumpo taryeong’. Her crisp voice in Gyeonggisori style presents more Gyeonggisori songs that were not included in the 'Modern Korean Folk Songs' album.
The album includes 'Kwaejina chingching nane' which was performed at the closing ceremony of PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games. And 'Baeknyeonui Arirang' (Arirang of 100 years) which was first introduced at the 100th-anniversary concert of the Korean National Provisional Government then recorded with the three singers for this album.

2nd Moon's musical journey for Korean traditional music started with ‘Pansori Chunhyangga’. And this time, it continues with ‘Paldoyuram’. 2nd Moon and the singers will travel every corner of Korea and meet with audiences at various stages, singing our traditional tunes together.
